PAIN RELIEF
What are the most common day-to-day pains? I would guess that ordinary headaches must come high on the list. These together with ‘big brother’ migraine cause a lot of misery.
Most headaches can be cured by taking a pain-killer, but EFT can cure them a lot faster. Migraines often do not respond to pain-killers, and are, of course, much more than just the headache. Nausea, dizziness, speech difficulties, photophobia and many other symptoms make migraine a major cause of misery. Just knowing that another one can strike without warning can prevent people from accepting social invitations and even jobs.
Here, I must confess that I have suffered from migraines since I was sixteen, and have had only limited success in stopping them. I have managed to stop several at the ‘aura’ state, but with no consistency. However, I have cured one for someone else very quickly, so I know it can be done. Update: I thought that I had cured my migraines. I had not had a migraine for four months, but had two recently. Back to EFT again.
Other pains are numerous - ‘little’ pains like toothache or pulled muscles to ‘major’ ones like long term back pain. All these can be alleviated by EFT, but the ‘biggies’ should be worked on with a professional EFT practitioner because there might be a hidden emotional cause. Try giving any pain the EFT treatment. You can’t do any harm.
Suggested set-up statement
‘Even though I have this bad headache, I deeply love and accept myself.’ (It pays to be specific about the pain - what kind of pain? where?) so -
‘Even though I have this throbbing sharp pain in the top of my head, I deeply love and accept myself.’
Even though I know I caused this headache by trying to do too much, I deeply love and forgive myself.’
Even though this headache was started by my boss/mother questioning me, I choose not to punish myself further, and I forgive myself and my boss/mother for their part in causing this headache.’
‘Even though I have no idea why I get these migraines, I deeply love and forgive myself for whatever I do to cause them.’
Other pain
Again, be specific.
‘Even though I have this sharp stabbing pain just below my left knee, I deeply love and accept myself.’
‘Even though I know I caused this shoulder pain by doing too much gardening, I love and forgive myself.’
‘Even though I have had this pain in my lower back for many years, I forgive myself for anything I did to cause it, and I deeply love and accept myself.’
Some pains will vanish almost miraculously after only one round of EFT, others will gradually fade over a period of several round or sessions of EFT.
Give it a try. You can’t do any harm and you could be one of the lucky ‘miracle cures’.
