HAY FEVER

It seems that hay fever is related to grief or fear for safety.  I have found both in my treatment of friends and myself.  Watering eyes seem to weep for some loss, and the general bad reaction to pollen is a reaction to ‘invasion’ of an enemy.

For the grief, it is important to find out what event or events started the hay fever.  When did it start?  What was happening in your life at that time?  What emotional events can you remember?  Just tapping for the hay fever symptoms can sometimes ease them, but also allow the memories that caused the reaction to pop into your mind.  We all manage to suppress bad memories so we can carry on our daily living, but EFT can bring them to the surface and we can tap on them to ease the emotion they provoke.  Once you have identified the event and emotions and cleared them with EFT, your symptoms should disappear.

For the fear of invasion, I have found that tapping using phrases like ‘pollen is safe’  ‘pollen is good’ (note; don’t use negatives, e.g. ‘pollen is not bad’ - somehow this doesn’t seem to work).

There is a useful little book by Louise L. Hay called Heal Your Body which mainly consists of lists of almost every disease and condition you could imagine, together with the emotional causes.  She offers the following positive statements for allergies   ‘The world is safe and friendly. I am safe.  I am at peace with life.’  She also indicates that you might ask yourself ‘Who am I allergic to?’ and work on that.

Personally, I found the ‘pollen is safe’ and variations was the one that worked for me.  After having hay fever every summer since I was about six, this last summer (2009) has been wonderfully free from sneezing and runny eyes.

Sometimes it is difficult or impossible to identify the causes by yourself.  A disinterested person can help by listening to what you say and asking the right questions.  I am willing to help anyone in the village to do this.  Free of charge, of course!

These are the setup phrases I used successfully.

Even though I get hay fever, I want my immune system to function perfectly, and I deeply and profoundly love and accept my body.’

Even though I get hay fever, I want my immune system to accept that pollen is safe, and I deeply and profoundly love and accept my body.’

Even though I am still getting some hay fever symptoms, I deeply and profoundly love and accept myself.
